The Isabel Simpson Heritage Centre
The Springhill Heritage Group took over the former nurses’ station building at 26 Memorial Drive last fall. An extension was built on to the building and many repairs made and the building was renamed the Isabel Simpson Heritage Centre. (Visit our Photo Page and follow the Centre’s construction)
The Centre has a museum of artifacts from early life in Springhill and surrounding area. Microfilm reels of old Springhill and Parrsboro newspapers are available to be read on site. Questions on family genealogies are welcome.
The Centre is open from June to Labour Day and during the winter by appointment or chance.
